Product collaboration and design

We offer innovative product collaboration and development utilising our far-reaching knowledge of current markets – an awareness which is often difficult for artisans in remote rural areas to acquire on their own. We employ experienced designers who are sensitive to crafters’ environments and their social conditions. Designers work with artisans to guide and modify their creative ideas, in order to arrive at appealing products of enhanced quality which appeal to contemporary tastes and which sell on international markets. Products of such collaboration can be found in prominent window displays of retail stores from Johannesburg to New York, and kindle keen consumer interest. In a similar vein, baskets made by crafters whom we have assisted in Bulawayo (Zimbabwe) may be transported across the Indian Ocean, to end up being sold in the trendy Santushti Market in Delhi (India).
